EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is a crossroad where planes from different eras meet. Modern jets, WWII and even WWI plywood biplanes light up the sky.
Don’t know why, but the program with Vietnam era jets was especially exciting for us. These deadly machines look beautiful even after decades.
Visitors of AirVenture could see demonstrations of USAF QF-4 Phantom, A-4 Skyhawk, MiG-17 Fresco and the world’s only flyable F-100 Super Sabre. Some of them were even in appropriate paint scheme like they had just returned from action point above the jungle.
